- in 1962 - "Brain Epstein" had the unpleasant job of telling "Pete Best" that he was no longer required to play drums for the Beatles. The stories were many but the truth seems he simply wasn't good enough. Within a year the Beatles became the biggest group in England and then the world. Best went on to play in the band "Lee Curtis & the All-Stars" before forming "The Pete Best Four".

The first guitar was an adapted mandolin made in 1779, but it wasn't until 1850 that it was first named a guitar by Antonio Torres Jurado who lived in Spain. The electric guitar was invented in 1936 by George Beauchamp.
