The Gig Guide Project :: Largely Incomplete!

Management of events information online can become a cumbersome task. We're trying to host an open database which will allow various ways of obtaining and or displaying provincial, personal or national events information.

Display Methods

Events Guide

Display a national, provincial or personal gig guide on any PHP enabled web page. Pick a display style and what not, if you're unsure about what to do contact your web developer.

Events Listing

You can select a simple or full listing and display it any place you can put a piece of Javascript, this includes any web page, Myspace and other such pages.

Single Event

You can display a single event on your site, blog or Myspace page, anywhere you can place a bit of Javascript. It will simply display your next event from the database.

Facebook Options

Using the application you can display a national events guide (as a tab), a single event or a simple listing (as a box). You can't yet display personal or provincial guides on Facebook.

Getting the Data

If you want to save this data to your own database and or display it your own way you can request the data in an array which you can use or abuse as you please. We don't give out the contact email addresses but other than that you get it all as we've saved it.

We'd appreciated credit for supplying the data but won't bitch about it.

Most of this is under development but please feel free to see what is currently available and contact us if you think you can help, we need help with delivering the data in an array and possibly the Facebook application. Feel free to check an example of a national or provincial guide on a personal website.
