[ Read Article ] | This not too far out the way venue, was filled with biker from the event prior… and me in my demure way considered it to perhaps be the wrong venue as the signage pointing the way was non existent… perhaps the very cool couple of Danielle the tattoo artist, who reminds me so much of “Kat” from Miami ink on DSTV and Micky her ever attentive hubby who is the originator and organiser… should consider the “passing” crowds and lost revel seekers when it comes to signage…. [ Read Article ] | Fourways Cool Running’s run by another Bradley….(I have met soooo many Brads in the entertainment industry.. freeky) had a very different atmosphere tonight and as I walked in I was greeted with a uniquely growled out singer who welcomed me with a melody fit for a king….. [ Read Article ] | The atmosphere starting off tonight was rather demure as the patronage was at a minimum… probably due to the overly stressed traffic conditions, but by 20h48 with 2 less judges Mind Clash the first band to start had to do something as time cold not wait…

This venue which is often used as a stop over for famous band, hits home to the feeling of what I think the whole franchise is about…. MUSIC… and what better place to launch the Battle of the Bands competition put on by Events Management team THORNROSE.

[ Read Article ] | 50 bands, 13 weeks, 3 winners!!!
The Thornrose Music battle of the bands will take place every Thursday starting from the 17th September until the 3rd December 2009. The final will take place on the Saturday, 5th December 2009 at Cool Runnings in Fourways. The shows will be hosted at Cool Runnings in Fourways and The Black Dahlia in Boksburg.
Entrance is R30 with a flier and R40 without.
