Wazzup Nightcrawler!

So I bet you are having a steaming festival season so far huh? Well for my part one of the best is coming up this weekend and it's going to be totally insane from what I can tell so far…

Disillusion - Back to Times of Splendour

[ Read Article ]
I've heard this particular album rated as the album Opeth wish they could produce. I beg to fuckin' differ! This review was originally written for www.metal-archives.com

I thought to myself, “Shit, this fucker’s got to be something!” I was waiting impatiently for my hallelujah moment but it failed to arrive. I thought to myself (a second time), “You’re too excited – listen again without so much forceful intent.” And nope, still not feeling this. I’m not this is a god awful... read more?

Masters of Rock hit South Africa

[ Read Article ]
All three bands are heading south in May next year for BIG Concerts, for the Masters of Rock concert tour, kicking off Friday, May 28, in Johannesburg, going on to Durban on Sunday, May 30, and wrapping up on Tuesday, June 1 in Cape Town.

Their combined age is probably in the region of - well let's not even think about it...

Never mind about the years, feel the quality. Throw the combination of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Wishbone Ash into conversation and, if you are talking to any rock fan worth their salt, you should get the equivalent of a rock high five.

Come Taste the Band - Vol 8 - Motorhead

[ Read Article ]
Lemmy was fired from Hawkwind in May 1975 for, as he says, "doing the wrong drugs". He was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine at the Canadian border and spent five days in prison causing the band to cancel some of their North America tour dates. It’s one of these blue Mondays again after an action packed weekend full of excitement such as the spectacular World Cup Draw and the recent tour of The Killers. It’s time again for another feature so I thought it’s about time to bring you the orgasmatronic, sensational and legendary Motörhead from England…

FInal Battle for a place at the Thornfest band camp in January 2010

Time in starting all the intro’s and drinking games was a tad later than scheduled… but hey.. that’s par for the course; which gave me the opportunity to just watch and observe people and their habits, which was interesting to say the least…
…and my god, I saw a slow motion moment, a beautiful slow motion moment…. You know those ones in the movies when a school boys wet dream fantasy girl come walking down the school corridor with her hair flowing in the wind cress clinging sweetly her... read more?
