What is Plug & Play? Plug and Play got started last year at Café Arc but it was something bands have been doing for Centuries. It is Open Mic Nights with a face Lift, we reviving the Open Mic night that used to happen at the Nile Crocodile but just at The Zeplins Wonderboom. This year it works a little difrent 3 bands on the night and each band pays R200 for twenty tickets. These tickets they can sell to get there money back and make a little bit of a profit or they can give away. • The sets are 30min to 45min long with 15min change over. RockingSa decides which band plays first unless the band that buys ten more tickets for R100 can decide which slot he plays. • It happens on a Thursday Night. The first one will happen on the 2nd of July • Just bring you and your instruments because you plug and play (drum set, Guitar and Bass amp provided). So Come and Jam For the Peeps or if you are a Peep come and enjoy an evening with Band that will make your work week Blues disappear. This Plug & Play is on a trail bases so come and See what is going on or you’ll be Missing out. Good luck with getting the bands together, I understand it can be quite challenging. I think this is a great project, allowing any musician to come show what he/she can do... you might consider getting an in-house band to do the dirty work, keep it going, then a single musician can step up for a jam or a band can take over? Did you know that you can contact bands on this site by visiting their page and hitting the "book this band" button? The button is only visible if they've put in their booking details. I'll be working on mailing say all bands in the Western Cape or Rock bands in Gauteng sometime in the near future. Humblest apologies for the intro, I've added it to the top of this article! RockingSa posted on Friday 26th of June 2009 at 16:56 the 2nd of jully is not definaite it is about if i can get three bands. maybe on the 30th becouse i got one band that wanto play on the 30 of jully all ready. if this trail run is sucsesfull then it will run for the whole year. but i nead three bands per night.
